dc.description.abstractGovernment of Korea contributed USD 9 million to Rsif in 2018. There are 72 competitively selected Korean funded Rsif PhD students (44% women) from twenty Sub-Saharan African nationalities. They study across all five thematic areas in thirteen different African Host Universities. Seven advanced Korean institutions have signed MOUs with PASET to host Rsif students for research placement in Korea. So far 35 PhD students have been matched. There are 4 Rsif graduates who completed their research placement in Korea. Korea also supports 21 Rsif research projects implemented by faculty in African universities and returning Rsif graduates.en_US
