Abstract:
Ethiopia is a founding member of PASET and has committed to make an initial USD 2 million contribution to Rsif.
There are 11 competitively selected Ethiopian Rsif doctoral scholars (55% women) registered in four thematic areas in seven different Rsif African host universities across the continent. There are so far 6 journal publications by the Ethiopian Rsif students.
Haramaya University was competitively selected as an Rsif African Host University in climate change and admitted its first cohort of Rsif funded PhD students in 2022. The African Center of Excellence for Climate Smart Agriculture and Biodiversity is hosting 9 Rsif students from six different nationalities (33% women) in the PhD programme in climate smart agriculture and biodiversity conservation.
